Wisdom finds truth

Truth:-

            Truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or standard. Truth is usually held to be opposite to falsehood, which correspondingly also take on a logical, factual or ethical meaning. 

Wisdom:-

            Wisdom or Sapience or Sagacity, is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight. Wisdom is associated with attributes such as Compassion, Experiential self-knowledge, non-attatchment and virtues such as ethics and benevolence. Wisdom has been defined in different ways. Many subtypes have been proposed. Out of these, phronesis and sophia are two key subtypes.

According to Aristotle, he categorised the virtues as moral and intellectual. In intellectual virtues, the most important one was Wisdom. 

According to Socratic intellectualism their are two major consequences . One is that virtue is knowledge and other is that virtue is sufficient for happiness. Socrates argued that no one knowingly desires what is bad. The claim is paradoxical, as it is apparent that humans sometimes desire to have what they know will be damaging.

One can say "Truth cannot be hidden for long as wisdom finds it" and "Wisdom or prudence is needed to differ between right and wrong and to find the truth.

For St Thomas Anquinas prudence is the first cardinal virtue because it is concerned with the intellect. Aristotle defined prudence as recta ratio agibilium, "right reason applied to practice." Prudence is the virtue that allows us to judge correctly what is right and what is wrong in any given situation. Disregarding the advice or warnings of others whose judgement does not coincide with ours is a sign of imprudence.

Example :  

                    The recent decade of rising temperatures in world shows the condition of Climate Change . The developed countries which agreed on Paris Climate deal recently went back on terms and conditions. The highly polluting country like USA walked out of the paris deal. This shows the lack of will of world leaders to current environment problems. The truth  of climate change can be seen by hurricane affect in texas, raising forest fires in amazon and rising sea levels. Truth of such events can not be kept aside. This wisdom make the countries to adopt sustainable and environmental decisions for well being of all living creatures. The developed countries which are in forefront of industrial revolution need to take lead for positve change in practices with accomadating the industrial needs.
